President:

  • Builds a positive working relationship with the school's principal and staff, collaborating on initiatives that support the school's mission and goals.
  • Serves as the primary spokesperson for the PTA, representing the association to the school administration, the school district, community organizations, and the public.
  • Works with the school, staff, and PTA board to identify community needs -Creates plans for the year, including calendar.
  • Coordinates agenda and leads the PTA member meetings, tie breaker if needed.
  • Ensures that the PTA adheres to its bylaws, policies, and procedures, as well as any relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

PR Representative:

  • Develops newsletters, social media posts, and other communications to keep parents, teachers, and the community informed about PTA events, initiatives, and achievements.
  • Oversees the PTA’s social media presence, including posting updates, engaging with followers, and responding to messages.
  • Works with the fundraising and events committees to promote PTA events, ensuring maximum participation and community engagement.

The Fundraising Committee Chair:

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all fundraising activities. This includes setting goals, developing timelines, and ensuring all necessary resources are in place.
  • Recruits, trains, and coordinates volunteers to help with fundraising events. This may include delegating tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring effective communication among volunteers.
  • Works with the PTA treasurer and other committee members to establish and manage the budget for fundraising activities.
  • Conducts a yearly efficiency report summarizing the event's success, including financial outcomes, challenges faced, and recommendations for future events.

The 8th Grade Moving up Committee Chair:

  • Works with the PTA President and school to establish a plan and budget for that year’s 8th Grade Moving Up festivities, events, gifts, field trip, etc.
  • Collaborates with the Fundraising Committee to plan and execute fundraising efforts specifically for 8th grade activities.
  • Keep thorough financial books to be shared with the Treasurer and President.
  • Oversees all organizing associated with the Moving Up Party and Reception.

The Reflections Committee Chair:

  • Manages the Arts in Education program for the Penn Kidder PTA, submit all the required entrees and manage the awards program annually.

The Finance Committee Chair:

  • Leads the process of creating the annual budget in collaboration with the PTA board and committee chairs. This includes estimating revenues and expenses for the upcoming year.
  • Presents regular financial reports to the PTA board.

The Legislative Committee Chair(s):

  • Shall apply for all grants, awards, and designations throughout the year. Follow up on all applications and submit any further necessary paperwork.

The Membership Committee Chair(s):

  • Creates and implements strategies to recruit new members, including parents, teachers, and community members.
  • Picks a new theme each new school year to be voted on at the May meeting.
